The computer that WebCalendar runs on is recommended to have a minimum configuration as follows:
- Windows 95/98/ME/2000/XP, etc.
- Pentium Class Processor
- 32MB RAM
- 10MB Available Disk Space
Generally, when hosting calendar on web servers or intranet services, there are no system requirements. The only feature that requires server consideration is the 'Remote Event Submission' feature.
In order to use the remote event submission feature, your calendar must be hosted on a web server the support CGI scripts written in Perl, and you need to have one dedicated POP mail account. Remote event submissions are relayed to web calendar through email. The remote event submission feature is not available in the Basic version.
Note: Most UNIX type systems have Perl installed by default, Perl for Windows can be obtained free of charge at http://www.ActiveState.com.
